New Addition to Our Home

Bobby and I just got a new plant for our porch at Home Depot!  I love it.  It’s a winter green boxwood and it stays green in winter and tolerates cold and below freezing temperatures…that’s awesome cause that means I don’t have to have a big green thumb to keep it alive either.  Don’t worry I’m going to water it and stuff, but in the past I have had some very sensitive plants that were not making it very far in life due to my lack of proper attention.  I’m excited to see something green on our porch, since its so sterile out there at the moment.   Hopefully soon we’ll have our chairs and a grill and we’ll be all set.

:) Happy Labor Day weekend my people!

I think all houses need a lil’ plant life in them. I’m a fan. Especially considering this guy has evolutionized himself to sustain Chicago winters. Does the pot match the master baths new paint? You’ll have to post some pictures of that for us as well.

Oh the master bathroom is almost done…I should be able to take a pic of it tonight….it isn’t as bright as that pot, but it was definitely a good choice…its more of a warmer/deeper tone…..olive or avocado-ish I would call it. We had to opt out of painting the guest bathroom last night because we were making up workouts for P90X…I’m soooo feeling that today. OUCH!

It is beautiful! where did you get it? I do not have a green thumb myself but I want to learn and I think it would be best to start small and easy.

We got it at Home Depot actually…its still alive and doing very well (growing just a tad bit taller) – I feel very proud but maybe I shouldn’t since it’s a very durable plant. haha.
