Little City Center for the Arts
This is Little City Center for the Arts‘ new website that I designed at Orbit recently. I am so happy with the way it turned out. My favorite part about this project is that I love the organization – for more than 20 years, they have provided children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities the opportunity to explore and expand their unique and creative talents, promoting a sense of accomplishment and empowerment through the arts.
What I really wanted to accomplish with this website redesign was to create a gallery-like space on each page to showcase the different artists’ work. We created the seamless and sophisticated flash piece on the homepage that elegantly transitions through 8 or so art pieces. The scale of the art in comparison to the text on the page is awesome – it really does feel like an art gallery space. Also, we were very lucky that Little City was able to provide us with such great photos…that is what really made this site special. Check out these gallery pages from some very talented & exceptional artists: Lori Couve, Charles Beinhoff, Tarik Echols, Peggy Brostrom, Harold Jefferies, & Brian Kaplan.
The final product of this redesign is one of my favorite designs for sure – simple yet bold & memorable.
