Adventure Stage @ Vittum Theater
I don’t usually post about my design work so I thought I’d start doing so since Justin inspired me to do so. This is a website I designed for Adventure Stage Chicago a dynamic theatre group in my neighborhood for young audiences. They were built upon imagination, inspiring dialogue and growing a community of families, educators and artists. They have workshops, residencies and resources that offer concrete ways to infuse theatre in the classroom – which I think is a great thing for young people.
I love this design – they provided us with some amazing photography that really makes the site shine – and the flash piece was fun to create on that same note. I love how you can see the emotions in the actors faces – it really reminds me how much I need to go see a show. The people there are truly excited about their organization and made me excited about the project. I’m glad I had the chance to design their site at Orbit. :)
Looks great! Love how you really let their visuals tell the story – because as designers sometimes we try too hard to over-design things and shift the focus away from the client’s message – but here you really have your heirarchy straight and created a simple yet dynamic design that shows the client in the best light possible.
We should all go and check out a show some night…I do love the theatre.
