New Shoes, Zappos, MBT, Cellulite

So I got some new shoes in the mail yesterday (this is the most amazing part about the situation – my order from Zappos.com was expidited at no cost to me to “overnight” status)…I literally ordered the shoes and they were on my doorstep within 24 hours and I didn’t even pay or ask for it.  So big kudos to Zappos.com.  I mean we all hate paying for shipping and especially for shoes which may not fit and we might have to send back (which is the current situation)…always an annoyance, but in this case not at all.  Sweet.

So I ordered these MBT Staka Sandals for one because they are kinda cool and innovative and two because they are supposed to be good for my physical health + strength….they put the weight of my body in the correct position and placement and take stress off of my spine and knees…they are also supposed to burn more calories and as a bonus firm your buttocks. haha! So even though I usually take fashion advice from the Dawes and she told me, “No way these are ugly and look like orthopedic shoes”…I was like you know what I”m gonna go out on a limb here and try them out anyway.  lol.  (But thanks again to the Dawes for always being as honest as possible so that I can weigh my pros and cons. he he.)

Like I said they showed up in literally 24 hours…they really aren’t bulky looking with jeans (you only see the toe part which is pretty sporty looking) and I took a walk to lunch today and seriously felt a difference…its a weird combination of exercise and stability…its almost like you are floating when you walk but also definately using different leg muscles.

Anyway I believe they are a half size too small because the straps and things are all very tight on the top of my foot in a sort of uncomfortable way…so I think I am going to send them back and try one of the other styles to see what I like best.  Especially with free shipping and 365 days to return from Zappos.com. Ding~! I win~!

Has anyone heard of RYN Footwear that is really big in Europe right now? http://www.rynshoes.co.uk … It looks similar to MBT but claims to have better stability and energy return. Plus more style! Does anyone know where I can buy RYN Footwear in the United States?

We are now selling RYN Footwear online at http://www.FeetFirstFitness.com and at Feet First in Boca Raton, Florida.

The demand for RYN shoes & RYN sandals is so high here that many styles were already sold out before our inventory had even arrived.

I just rented a pair of the sandals with the velcro straps (they look kind of like Tevas)– they are amazing. I have a foot injury and cannot bend my big toe on one foot– (hallux limitus). These shoes were so comfortable I had to buy them. I also wanted a closed toe version as I envision these being the only shoes I will now wear. The sneakers were hitting my foot problem in the wrong spot (where the laces start) so I got the Zapatu. Yes, they look like nurse shoes, but I got them in black and now wear them with jeans, yoga pants, whatever. My husband is out right now at the shoe store picking up the sandals I ordered.

And yes, every day I feel like I’m getting a workout just wearing them!

Thanks for the information on RYN. They are definitely similar to MBTs, which I have a pair of.
I actually think the RYN styles look a lot better then MBTs. Especially the dressy ones. Since I work in an office it would be nice to have something like that. I’m trying to get my girlfriend a pair as a bday surprise. A couple weeks ago my mom told me sketchers came out with a version for A LOT less. $200 less! I google’d and found out they are called shape ups. Has anyone tried them?

I went to a store but I was told since they are very new they only make them for women right now. So…any feedback? The people in the store love them but I want an honest opinion. (One girl in the store said she lost 8lbs over the last 6weeks of wearing them at the store). Well, if these shoes are anything like MBT or RYN…and only $100, I think I might get my girlfriend a couple pairs.

It would be a mistake to purchase the Sketchers. It’s a cheap “knock off” of MBT’s and RYN. As of now, RYN is the only rocker bottom shoe FDA approved. Not only will Sketchers fall apart, but you’re not going to get the results you’re looking for.

I have two pairs of RYN and love them. I’m a bartender at an upscale restaurant in Boise, ID. My shifts last from 2:00 in the afternoon all the way until 2:00 in the evening. 12 hours on my feet! Though my legs may be tired the next day, my knees, feet, and the rest of my body feel great. Originally I wore MBT, but found they lasted only a couple of months before I would need to replace the sole or entire shoe. The sensor located at the heal soaks up water and consistently brakes down.

    Hope this helps,

    Aaron
